Student tailgating was related with heavier drinking and alcohol consumption at tailgate activities has previously been cited as a major concern of sport event managers at Bowl Series Championship (BCS) schools. A content analysis of official websites for all BCS affiliated athletic departments were accessed in the spring of 2012 to determine how the schools protected their tailgating fans, including students. The results of this study will be addressed in this presentation.
