Female student-athletes often desire a muscular body to be successful in sport; however, perceptions of their athletic body may conflict with perceptions of their bodies in social contexts. This research presentation will focus on the role of uniforms in body image concerns and its potential influence on sport performance. Implications for coaches, sport psychology professionals, and sport educators working with female student-athletes will be discussed.
