This presentation will review the results of a study investigating the reasons for the disparities regarding the lack of female representation as head coaches in NCAA women’s basketball. How are females succeeding and how are they still being limited in their pursuit of head coaching positions? The study targeted assistant and head coaches across all divisions. Results include the barriers that female coaches overcame or still face in obtaining a head coaching position.
