Title IX is especially known for its success in opening the door to athletics for girls. Because almost all schools receive some sort of federal funding, athletic and physical education programs are included under Title IX. This session focuses on a compliance checklist to determine whether males and females in one's secondary (HS/MS) programs are being treated fairly. Strategies to address coeducational physical education and athletic opportunities will be shared.
