Discovery learning of movements involves learners of motor skills in skill acquisition by engaging them in active problem solving, which several views of skill learning propose and research evidence supports enhances skill learning. In this presentation specific examples of implementing teaching strategies based on the discovery learning of movements will be provided along with research examples to support the use of these strategies.
