287 Developing Confidence Within Girls and Young Women Through Self-Defense

According to the United States government, teens and young adults experience the highest rates of crime within the U.S. In response, parents, administrators, teachers, and even students have become interested in the incorporation of self-defense within secondary physical education. Attendees will receive a skill-based curriculum targeted to high school girls. This session will provide attendees, whether a novice or seasoned practitioner, with the opportunity to learn new skills and best teaching practices.
