Speakers: K. Andrew R. Richards, Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN; and Wesley J. Wilson, Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN
This session will describe our experiences planning, implementing, and evaluating PETE’s PALs, a program that provides physical activity and aquatics instruction for children with disabilities. As a service-learning component to a university course, PETE’s PALs also provides college students with experience applying the knowledge and skills they learn while serving the community. The session is targeted at college faculty and special education professionals who are interested in coordinating similar service-learning experiences.
