This session disseminates research findings from a study conducted at two Southern Universities; one being a HBCU (Historically Black College and University) and the other a PWI (predominately white institution). The purpose of this study was to obtain and compare information from African American college-age women representing two historically different universities and the overall population from these two universities with regard to their body image, body satisfaction, body shape, appearance and related factors.
