The presentation will address the psychology of being a female athlete in today’s society. Coaches and physical educators will benefit from discussing the female athlete paradox that women and girls face and ways that we can empower women and girls to feel secure in their identification as an athlete. The intended purpose of the presentation is to highlight the benefits, issues, and preferred practices relevant to coaching and teaching physical education to females.
