The presentation introduces disability sports into the physical education curriculum as a way to influence student perceptions of disability through sport skill instruction. Participants will engage in a process of teaching that can be utilized across multiple settings and sports through hands-on participation in disability sports including goalball and sit-volleyball. Differences between the impact of disability simulation and sport skill development on student learning will also be discussed.
