Physical activity should be promoted in all aspects of the contemporary physical education programs. With proper planning, meaningful measurement and evaluation linked to program outcomes in all learning domains can play a prominent role in activity promotion. A variety of assessments will be presented that directly link to current national standards. The role of these assessments pertaining to all learning domains will discussed in relation to promoting physical activity. Summary recommendations will be presented.
