The SCYACS research project seeks to identify current participatory patterns among children and youth in sport; understand the values associated with sport in issues related to development, social inclusion, and peace-building; and, identify factors where sport is used to facilitate the reintegration of former child soldiers. Results are utilized to expand the current capacity of those implementing sport programs to promote peace and stability in the conflict-affected region of northern Uganda.
