Sport sponsorship has evolved into a vast business enterprise, encompassing sport at all levels. In 2007, sport sponsorship spending worldwide was approximately $28 billion ($14 billion in North America) (IEG, 2008). Previous research has been conducted to determine why companies become involved in sport sponsorship relationships that has focused on professional, intercollegiate, and Olympic sports. This presentation will focus on sport sponsorship at the interscholastic athletic level.
