Learn why bicycle riding is an important functional activity for youth with Down syndrome and autism spectrum disorders, important evidence-based outcomes achieved in youth who have learned to ride two-wheel bicycles, as well as key teaching procedures used to train youth to ride bicycles within a 5-day program and key elements of organizing a successful training program. The session includes examples of funding agencies that may be interested in funding a bicycle training program.
