CEU OPPORTUNITY: The purpose of this presentation is to share information about the testing, conditioning, and mental preparation programs developed for the United States Amputee Ice Hockey team. Emphasis is placed on training programs that build speed, power, and quickness and maintain aerobic fitness, muscle strength, muscle endurance and flexibility for the Amputee athlete. The objectives for the mental preparation program included educating about the team building and leadership processes, pre-game mental preparation, and emotional control.
