The purpose of the presentation will be to examine prevalence and perceived impact of Authentic Assessment practices of physical educators. An overview of the Mintah Physical Education Authentic Assessment Inventory (2003) will be presented, as well as data findings. Based on these findings, a discussion of bridging the gap from research to practice will include suggestions on encouraging more use of Authentic Assessment in PE and balancing quality measurement with practicality.
