Prior research indicated that on average students living in Greek fraternity houses drink almost twice as much as do those who live in Non-Greek housing (Turrisi et al., 2006). New research suggests that this trend may be fading or reversing. Recently, 1,847 students from a Mid-Sized Southwestern University (where Greek houses are considered on-campus housing) were surveyed. Results suggest that Non-Greek students may be beginning to drink heavier than their Greek counterparts.
