Increasing Ethno-Diversity: Organizations and Careers in Sport and Physical Education
The literature reveals that faculty and teachers of color are underrepresented in k-12 and higher education settings across America. More specifically, most recently organizations such as NASPE have been concerned with the scarcity of people of color engaged in professional organizations and careers in sport, exercise science, and physical education. Therefore, this session will stimulate thought and provoke discussion regarding strategies and resolutions to improve the under representation of peoples of color across these fields.
