Cognitive Benefits of Physical Education: Making Connections with Brain Research
CEU OPPORTUNITY: Recent developments in brain research have provided us with an avenue to connect with the classroom teacher. This connection provides many cognitive benefits that can result from movement and physical activity. The purpose of this presentation will be to examine the fundamental principles of brain research that can be used to enhance learning. Topics will include building reading skills, using music and balancing to build neural connections, brain games, and aids for the classroom teacher.
