The process of writing, submitting, and publishing empirical dance research is a challenge. This presentation addresses research methods, construction elements, evaluation processes, and publication venues of quantitative dance arts and education research journal articles from beginning to final acceptance. Research methods include (a) procedures for quantitative research including the components, significance, theory, methodology design, measurement instruments, data analyses, results, discussion, and references, (b) the development and design of non-experimental, quasi-experimental, and experimental dance arts and education research projects, and (c) legal and ethical processes of human subjects review boards, informed consent, and privacy of participants in photography, technology, and videography. Construction elements include (a) an outline of technical writing skills in dance arts and dance education, (b) examples of appropriate topics for quantitative research in dance and related disciplines, and (c) proper formatting and technical guidelines for authors. Evaluation processes include (a) critically analyzing the final product and (b) responding to reviewers and proposed revisions. Publication venues include (a) an examination of academic refereed journals in dance, education, health, fine arts, and science for possible manuscript submission and (b) authorship in academic and non-academic books, newsletters, newspapers, magazines, technology, and media publications for dance. Experienced and novice dance authors and researchers will benefit from the practical information and tips on developing and enhancing technical writing skills for successful scholarly publishing in quantitative arts and education research.Keyword(s): creative movement, dance education, research
