The Influence of Mechanics and Perception of Ability on Overhand Throwing
Ever wonder why Johnny can't throw as well as Susie? Or why uncle Sherman throws better than aunt Carmen? Is overhand throwing affected by gender or age? Does the person's perception of his/her ability affect throwing patterns? This session will examine overhand throwing patterns through the lifespan. The mechanical features as well as the self perception of throwing efficacy will be discussed.
