MASSPEC Day: Middle and High School TOY's Present: Movin' On Up
This exciting, active, participation-based presentation will incorporate six components of a Physical Education lesson at the middle school level and will address transitioning them to the high school level. The components include “High Five”: Warm Up Activities (Crystal Gorwitz, Marcia Schmidt), “The Core”: Strength Training and Fitness Activities (Gary Lewis, Erin Shirley), “From Coast to Coast, We’re the Most”: Sport Activities (Cathy Fischer, Leslie Farmer), Career Fitness: Incorporating Physical Activity into Careers (Lisa Gregoire, Candi Mountain-Gaddie), “Assessment…and Rubrics” (Sandra Sims, Judith DeWalt), and “Low Five”: Cool Down Activities (Crystal Gorwitz, Marcia Schmidt).
