Shaped for Life
Shaped For Life is a 12-week youth program addressing the epidemic of overweight and obese youth our nation is currently experiencing. Shaped For Life is being funded by a PEP grant and is in it's 1st year of instatement. Shaped For Life incorporates physical activity, nutrition, self-esteem, and requires parental involvement. Shaped For Life is also a research project examining how boys and girls of different ages compare in relation to: height, weight, body composition, body mass index, heart rate, aerobic capacity, blood pressure and flexibility. It also looks at the role that self-esteem plays in children's eating patterns.
