Less Equipment, Lots of Exercise, and Appropriate Challenge: Creating Safe but Challenging Core Fitness Circuit Programming for High School and Middle School Physical Education
The focus of this hands-on session is to demonstrate and teach practitioners how to create safe core strength and balance programming in school PE with limited equipment using circuit or station training. Stability balls, tubing, and body weight exercises will be used to teach progressions for core strength development. Agility ladders and balancing activities will be used to teach progressions for balance training. Guidelines for creating safe and effective progression and sequencing of these activities will be demonstrated and supported with reference materials.
