A Balancing Act: Managing Organizational Effectiveness in Youth Soccer Clubs
The purpose of this session is to discuss challenges in achieving organizational effectiveness in youth soccer organizations and engage attendees in a dialogue about how organizational leaders might address paradoxical stakeholder expectations. The growth of youth soccer participation nationally has created challenges for local soccer clubs in effectively meeting multiple stakeholder needs and expectations. Findings from a study that measured stakeholder perceptions of organizational effectiveness of Minneapolis/St Paul area youth soccer organizations will be presented and discussed. Furthermore, practical recommendations for youth soccer leaders on how different stakeholder needs and expectations can be implemented and achieved will be provided.
