Ignoring the Obvious: An In-Depth Examination of Critical Risk Management Issues for Coaches, Teachers, Sport and School Administrators
In this 1/2 day session, presenters will provide an in-depth exploration of challenging and pressing areas of institutional and professional risk including sexual misconduct, escalating incidents of bullying and hazing, and intentional harm and violence in sport. Drawing on the expertise of NASPE's Sport Management Council and AAALF's Safety and Risk Management Council, presenters will address these and other emerging legal risks for institutions and professionals. Risk management and mitigation strategies will be applied as well as suggestions and action steps for policy development.
