Coach Education in a Rural Environment: Grassroots.edu
The provision of coach education is extremely important, yet it is expensive and often prohibitive to states that have few resourses, great distances and high turn-over. In 2001, the Montana High School Associaition in cooperation with MSU and Dr. Craig Stewart, developed a WEB based coach education program based upon NASPE's Standards of Coach Education. To date, over 5,000 coaches have completed the program. Dr. Stewart will report on the process of development, the results of the on-going evaluation process and the growth of the program.
