Fitness AND Sports - Yes You Can Teach Them Together
Can you teach sports and fitness at the same time? Do your learners see the connection between your sport units and fitness? Are you wondering what kind of activity to do with small spaces and large classes? Are there alternatives to improving fitness rather than traditional running or jogging? Last year we answered those questions. Due to the positive reaction to last year’s session we’d like to demonstrate additional fun fitness activities that can be used within middle school sport units. Examples of fitness activities for invasion, net/wall, fielding and target sports will be presented in an audience participation format.
Keyword(s): exercise/fitness, middle school issues, physical activity
