Living the P.E. Curriculum: Active Minds and Meaningful Motions
This workshop will provide you with philosophical, theoretical, and practical guidelines to deepen your connection to both student and teacher learning. Anderson will integrate practical ideas from his text, The Missing Think, with his thoughts influenced by Dewey, to put you in touch with student thinking. Lloyd will share segments of her doctoral theory-forming inquiry, Interactive Flow in Exercise Pedagogy, and invite you to reflect on the motions of leading, teaching, and moving in response to your class. Together, Lloyd and Anderson will help you appreciate and understand how active minds and meaningful motions influence, shape, and create the ‘lived’ P.E. curriculum.
