The University of New Mexico Adapted Sports Festival is a yearly event for individuals with any type of disability. Creating adapted sports opportunities for underserved populations can be challenging without the proper support structures in place. This session will provide attendees an overview of the organization of the festival, event and risk management, participant and volunteer recruitment, marketing, public relations, and event sponsorship.
