The purpose of this session is to discuss keys to success for increasing children’s healthy nutrition behaviors, health knowledge and physical activity levels through school-based programming. The Healthy Zone School Recognition Program provides participants with a framework for implementing successful strategies to improve students’ health behaviors. Participants will learn strategies that are designed through evidence-based knowledge and best practices to encourage teachers, students and parents to improve the health of their local communities.
