Athletes’ relationships with their bodies can influence their performance and overall well-being. Researchers from various academic disciplines provide important perspectives that inform how coaches can best interact with athletes on these issues. This session will provide tools to help practitioners communicate effectively to develop a positive and holistic approach to body image. Participants will gain practical ideas for promoting a positive body image ideal and assisting athletes who are experiencing body image disturbances.
