With the goal of providing our teacher candidates with more authentic opportunities to develop their pedagogical skills we recently implemented a Professional Development School (PDS) model within two of our methods courses. Our PDS approach is allowing our teacher candidates to be fully immersed within a PK-12 community where they are asked to collaborate, plan, instruct, assess and serve on a weekly basis. We will share everything from getting started to course materials and assignments.
