There is often a lack of alignment between programmatic standards, program delivery and assessment practices in physical education. The purpose of this session is to examine the current National Standards and to provide explanations and examples of integrating instruction and assessment to evaluate progress toward meeting programmatic standards. Assessment models for elementary, middle and high school programs that illustrate clear alignment of the National Standards, instruction and assessment will be presented.
