The lecture invites one’s attention to the lack of civility as a social justice dilemma in physical education and sports. The lecture will highlight historical, political, and social injustices in sport. The pressures youth, athletes, coaches, educators, and sporting administrators experience will be addressed in the context of shaping a standard of excellence in physical education, and the shaping of lifelong habits of young people in the promotion of civility and social justice in sport.
