Discovery learning of movements engages learners of motor skills in skill acquisition through active problem solving. Several views of skill learning propose, and research evidence supports, that skill learning is enhanced by this method. In this presentation, specific examples of implementing teaching strategies (based on the discovery learning of movements) will be provided along with research examples to support the use of these strategies.
