The purpose of this session is to familiarize the participant with one of the NCAA's emerging sports: STUNT. Twenty-one universities in 2011 and twenty-three universities in 2012 committed to instituting Stunt as a spring sport, and Stunt has since completed their second competitive season. The sport of Stunt is the result of intercollegiate competitive cheer squads not being recognized as a sport in a landmark case involving Quinnipiac University's Athletic Department.
