The purpose of the first part of this session is to discuss the results of a qualitative study that explored how health educators who identify as lesbian navigate their sexual orientation within the health classroom. The second part of the session will provide learners with an understanding of what it means to be transgender and provide concrete examples of how schools can be supportive of and sensitive to the unique needs of transgender students.
