Part #1 Adolescents who are more involved in their community and have mentors tend to delay sexual debut. A cultural model for developing a mentoring program to delay sexual debut will be presented. Part #2 Health educators and other health professionals need a good understanding of Latino cultural values and beliefs surrounding sexuality. Culturally appropriate strategies and sexuality education resources are provided for those who deal with sexuality education of Latino youth and their families.
