Early field experiences (EFE) aid pre-service physical educators in applying knowledge and skills, and gaining confidence. To attain desired outcomes, EFEs must be carefully designed and executed. The purpose of this session is to demonstrate application of EFE research on development of a 6-semester sequence of course-based EFEs implemented within one teacher preparation program. Recommendations for teacher preparation programs, college administrators, faculty members, and field-based practitioners will be shared by faculty, physical educators, and students.
