With the rapid growth of the Hispanic population in America, we as teachers are challenged to engage and motivate an increasingly diverse student body. This session will examine the educational setting the Hispanic child came from (including pictures and interviews from PE classes in Mexico and Guatemala), statistically describe the changing demographic in our classes, and make suggestions for improving our connection with and delivery to this growing segment of our school population.
