This session demonstrates how the resiliency process can be used to help promote positive body image and prevent disordered eating in college women. This includes understanding body dissatisfaction, recognizing personal “triggers,” promoting self-discovery, and using inner, personal drives as a protective factor. Additionally this session includes: 1) the benefits of resiliency training for college-age students; 2) the essential components of resilience training & 3) results of the efficacy of resilience training integrated in wellness lectures/labs.
