This presentation introduces the concepts of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and how to use this positive communication style to more effectively help others with health and behavioral changes. MI is a brief behavioral intervention that is centered on empowering others to understand what choices they are in control of. The efficacy of MI has been validated by more than 150 clinical trials, and it has become well established as a highly effective brief behavioral intervention.
