Community service is an integral component of higher education. Many universities are implementing, even expecting service learning to be integrated into programs around campus. This expectation combines seamlessly with Initial PETE Standards, enhancing student learning while serving the community. This session focuses on the steps, and possible pitfalls, to successful integration of service learning into various PETE courses. Our students “graduate with a diploma and a resume.”
