Minimizing Injuries and Enhancing Performance in Competitive Figure Skaters |
This presentation will focus on figure skating research in two distinct areas: evaluating the current figure skating boot design with an emphasis on how it may contribute to injuries, and improving performance during multiple revolution jumps. Assessment of the figure skating boots led to a new boot design, and ongoing performance assessment is focused on the development of software to study the effects of changing the skater's pose during the flight phase of the jump. |
