Session will provide a historical celebration paying tribute to contributions of African Americans to AAHPERD: past (prior to 1985) present (1985-2009) and future (2010 and beyond).
Amazing stories of notable African American AAHPERD honor award recipients such as: LeRoy Walker, Bob Kirk, Doris Corbett, Lucinda Adams, Mel Evans, Lynnette Overby, Andrew Lewis, will be presented. Discussion will focus on developing strategies to ensure continued and improved contributions for African Americans in the Alliance. |
