Examination of Security Issue University Sport Camps: Coaches Background Check |
Despite the belief that first priority of university sponsored sport camp directors should be the security incidents do occur. This is especially true in situations in which vulnerable populations are children (DiLorenzo, 2004). For example, in Doe v. Athletic Alliance (2003), a 12 year old attending a baseball camp was sexually assaulted in his dorm room. In order to gain insights to safety practices, a survey was randomly distributed to 50 directors of university camps. |
