Strength Through Partnerships: The Special Olympics University Curriculum |
This workshop focuses on the NCACE approved Special Olympics University Curriculum. Curriculum modules consist of teaching and coaching individuals with intellectual disabilities and sports management in preparing for and conducting competition. Sessions on positive marketing, recruiting students, networking, service-learning opportunities, and job opportunities for each university will be conducted. Case studies will be presented from universities who have successfully implemented the program. Discussion will center on how additional universities can be involved. |
