Teaching Research Methodology Through Involvement With Professional Sport Teams |
Research methodologies in sport management education are an integral part of developing well-rounded sport managers who are able to execute sound business practices. Many sport management research methodology classes focus their teaching efforts on basic statistics and analysis, but fail to take these teachings and put the students through experiential learning to see a final product through. To that end, the purpose of this tutorial is to communicate a design for the class that will satisfy the teachings of design, statistical analysis, and presentation of data utilizing experiential projects through involvement with professional sport teams. |
