Title IX: Implications for Secondary Physical Education and Interscholastic Sports |
For decades Title IX has included a requirement that most physical education classes must be co-educational and that athletic programs must be equitable. The law's requirements have not always meant successful, frustration-free compliance. This session focuses on the implications of Title IX for secondary physical education classes and high school athletic programs, tools for evaluating one's program, strategies for success, and specific suggestions for compliance from practitioners who have been in the field. |
